Our Academies - City Learning Trust

It is both a great privilege and a huge honour to be the Principal at Haywood Academy. At Haywood Academy, we aim to inspire our young people. I am determined that the academy delivers an education that reflects our values of being ambitious for our young people to unlock their potential, working together, being committed to our local community, ensuring creativity, innovation and imagination, and respect for others. We want our young people to be optimistic and have integrity and a sense of responsibility.

Adele Mills – Principal of Haywood Academy

All young people deserve the best opportunities in life; the staff at City College are committed to ensuring that our ARCH values of Aspiration, Respect, Community and Hard work permeate all experiences with us, so that they are well prepared to be the very best they can be. These values are closely aligned with the Trust values – such symbiosis makes our relationship with the Trust extremely positive, rewarding and productive.

Mill Hill Primary Academy is a great place to learn and we ensure that our young people have access to a broad, exciting, inclusive and challenging curriculum. “United by our values, we place children first in everything we do” guides our practice. Working as a part of the City Learning Trust enables us to develop vibrant and successful schools where children can excel and be happy.

Smallthorne Primary Academy is a proud member of the City Learning Trust and I am honoured to be its Principal. United by the mission of creating a world-class education system for children/young people, we are much more than a partnership of schools. What makes The City Learning Trust unique is the way that children are tangibly at the heart of every aspect and level of leadership and decision-making.
